Title: Business Development Manager
Compensation: $45,000 annually
Start Date: September 2018
Location: Cambridge, MA (MBTA Accessible via Harvard Sq.)
Position overview: Solstice seeks an enterprising, self-starting individual to assist in our rapidly expanding business development efforts. You’ll work directly with the co-founders and be responsible for expansion efforts across a variety of stakeholders.

Responsibilities will include:

Outreach to solar project developers with an objective of identifying and winning significant new business opportunities for Solstice
Solar developer partnership management, serving as main point of contact, conveying information from outreach team, and assisting in development of customer product offering
Research of and outreach to utilities to cultivate opportunities for collaboration, in conjunction with CEO
Development and maintenance of solar project financial models by state, incorporating a thorough understanding of various state-specific financial incentives and compensation mechanisms
Participation in community solar policy advocacy, particularly in new states starting to develop community solar policies, in conjunction with low-income inclusion and policy team
Close coordination with software team to identify new features for development based on solar developer and utility needs
Maintenance of organization’s financial projection model, in conjunction with co-founders, assisting with new fundraising, board preparation, and quarterly/annual reporting

Qualifications:

4+ years of experience in business development/B2B sales, financial services, consulting, or related field
Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to articulate value proposition to external stakeholders with passion and energy
Highly proficient in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel; previous experience with financial modeling from investment banking/private equity/consulting industries preferred
Extraordinary attention to detail, creative, personable, enthusiastic, proactive, team-oriented
Ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders and partners
Excited to work in a fast-paced, startup environment
Strong interest in environmentalism, clean energy, and/or social equity

As a Business Development Manager, you will gain:
